Default Heating/Cooling Not Working

My heating and cooling have gone out. I changed the thermostat and it still does not heat or cool right. Can anyone help me out?

Need a little more info or actually need a few questions answered. Does the engine have normal operating temps? Do both heater hoses feel as hot as the top radiator hose? Finally do the inside controls work?

Sorry, should have given more info. Everything inside works. Gauge is showing normal temp reading. Controls seem to be working. When you change heating cooling ****, nothing seems to change. Blowing one temp. Does not cool, does not heat up.

Still working blind here, am assuming there is no AC on this vehicle, and the vehicle type doesn't really matter as I am not an expert. Do need to know if the controls are manual cable or vaccuum operated. Look under dash and see what is there. Push pull cables or rubber hoses. Look for something disconnected if cable, if its rubber hoses, look for where the vaccuum hose goes through the firewall. (About where the glove box is) look from engine side, sometimes break there.

Sounds like a broken blend door. Do a search on "blend door" for more info.

Being on somewhat mechanically inclined, is this something that can be changed easily or is this a tough job to tackle. 2000 F150 4x4 5.4l

Checked the blend door, seems to be operating correctly when changing controls. Engine temps are normal. Changed out thermostat first. Air flow works correctly in the dash and in the defrost vents. Everything works correctly except I've only got a contant temperture. Will not adjust cooler or hotter.

If you're not getting heat but have airflow - suggest you've either got a blocked heater core or a stuck blend door.

The blend door motor will still move even when the door is broke.
