Lift for truck and car
No the lift kits you might think of, looking for ideas on a lift system to lift up my truck or car for servicing it. I have a 95 Grand Marquis that needs the air suspension repaired, and the easiest way is on a lift. So if I am going down that route to get a service lift, I would want it to be able to also lift my truck.
So shoot me ideas. I ran across this one, https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...2674_200102674, but looks like it would block most of the undercarriage making it difficult if I need to run new air lines. I figure my truck weighs close to 5800 pounds, my last one was 6000.

You can get a single post lift that has wheels on it so you can move it

What I use, leaves all of the undercarriage unblocked, it sits directly below the frame rails or pinch welds on both sides. https://www.quickjack.com/car-lift-s...-car-lift.html
They have wheels on one end so you can take them anywhere, even away from 110 if you get the 12v option. You'll want the truck/suv adapters as well.

That doesn't look sturdy for a truck when looking at the website, but seeing your truck on it says otherwise. How stable is it for sideways movements, like pulling a spindle, or the front shocks off the truck? I have 8' doors, but a 9' ceiling. There is 28" of clearance above my truck as well, and looks like this one goes up 23.7 max.
If I went 2 post, my barn has 11' ceilings, and if I set the posts under the truss, there is a 9' spread for more clearance. The difficult part would be making it so I could pull a car or truck in through the door and turn it to be between the lift. The barn is 80' long but only 36' wide. Now if I get the side doors fixed and get that damned tree killed that keeps growing in the one track, then I could probably set it up there. A real garage lift.

Here's the type of lift i considered for my pole barn a while back.
Its only good for 3 tons but it doesn't require a permanent installation and can be rolled out of the way for storage.

This fills the bill for what I do have.

Well, of all places, Home Depot has it, and it is on sale for $1299, and special 18 month terms 0%. Reading reviews so far are all positive, I may pull the trigger on it tonight after I do just a little more research, but considering what I have to work with, and I really don't want to work in the barn without my air compressor, which would be a **** to move and re-set up, this may very well be what I need. I would love to be able to work standing up, but since I don't have any plans to be replacing a transmission any time soon, or doing a re-gear, which I can do sitting on my butt with this one, I think it is just what I am looking for.

That's what I paid on the overstock sale when I got my set. Same exact set Don't forget the truck/suv adapters, you will need them.

Yep ordered them too. Should have it in 2 weeks. Thanks, this is what I was looking for. I wonder if these will pick up my travel trailer by the axles too. Would be most excellent if they can, will make working on the hubs/brakes a breeze. Lifting one wheel at a time is a royal PITA due to the gravel drive, plus with all the rain we have had, the drive is too soft for the jack and stands, they sink right in.
