Default Lift Laws

I am getting a new truck soon and i plan on putting a 6 inch lift with 37s on it and want to make sure it will still be street legal. I live in NJ.

Dang it. .I never looked at Illinois rules..says all pickups gotta have mud flaps..If they make me get them. .I will mount them inside the bed...doesn't say where ya gotta have them

My state (Washington) doesn't have any that im aware of. Bumper just cant be higer than 42"

The lowest part of the bumper needs to be at 42

In most states it's not the lift, it's the distance from the bottom of the bumpers to the ground so they align closer to car bumpers.

Welp....I'm illegal. CT only allows for 4" of lift. I've got 6". And you can't have more than 4 lights in front. I simply thought you couldn't be using more than 4 at a time.

Had a friend got wrote up for bumper height in Illinois. .he said this happened 10 years ago and not sure if things have changed. .they ended up ruling in his case the trailer hitch could be considered part of the bumper/ frame and they dropped the issue
