Lift kit or Leveling Kit???

Lift kit or Leveling Kit???
I am finally looking at hooking my 2010 FX4 Screw with the Moto metal 951/962/or 964 rims and probably Nitto Grapplers or Toyos (not sure size yet...just a solid look and functional size, nothing obnoxious). A local shop said I could get a 2" leveling kit installed for $525 versus a full on 4-6" lift kit. My biggest concern is I do not want form over function. I want my truck to ride as smooth as it does now bc I do make long road trips from time to time.
So my question, level kit or lift kit?
Thanks for your all's advice.

I have had both on the same truck.
If you want the ride, stay with the level kit. If you want bad @$$, go with the lift.
The ride is different with a lift. Not bad, just not the same.
With 2" Level & 285/75/17s
With 4" Lift & 295/60/20s

A level will be harder on the susp comp, a 4" lift should ride just like stock as it retains all the stock geometry and whatnot, that is if you use some quality shocks, don't expect it to ride great with the shocks that come with the kits. Rancho is alright but for the money it's hard to beat bilsteins. Most people who lift also go to bigger tires or change the rim/tire combo and that can affect ride as well

Nice, looks great with the bull bar too.

I think I will go with the level kit for cost effectiveness, Bilstein or Ranchos. Thanks fellas.

I've been doing a little research and think I've narrowed it down to the Bilstein 5100's w/ 275/65/20 Duratracs. Still wondering about my 331 rear end and possibly putting an SCT tune to compensate for the Tires and adjust my speedo. Any suggestions will help guys. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2" level and 295/60/20's. Thanks for making me drop more money on a 4" lift, dick.
