Default Leveling kit pros and cons

Considering a leveling kit on my '24 F150 Lariat FX4. What are some pros and cons of doing this?

Pros: the truck sits level.

Cons: anytime you haul or tow, you’ll be squatting and you’ll likely need to address that and compensate in another way.

It all depends how you use your truck. If it’s just a grocery getter, level it if that’s what you like.

If you work your truck and use it for truck things, the factory rake is there for a reason and will be the best set up for towing and hauling.

I put airbags on mine to eliminate the squat for better handling if towing. (Bilstein 2 in leveling kit with front coil-overs) not a fan of spacers. If not going for aesthetics and think it will handle/ride better the biggest difference for me was replacing the rear shocks. I replaced front a couple of weeks later and the only difference I felt with the front was it was higher. Rear shocks was night and day.

Nothing screws up a factory ride more than messing with the suspension geometry. (my unsolicited, non scientific, personal opinion)

Why? We've seen a few around town and just like the "lifted look." Wife and I use it for day to day and on trips. Already put 35K miles on it 15 mos but that a month long trip last summer ate up a lot of those miles.

I had dealer install Fords exclusive Bilstein Level kit [lmao] 2025 F150 stx @700 miles. It cost more going through Ford but didn't void my warranty cane with a 3 yr warranty from Ford. I did my previous Ram with the same findings
Pros:
  • Handles 100% better than stock, dont feel every bump in the road much smoother
  • No rear end bounce jump to left or right
  • Cornering off highways 100% better
  • Looks way better
cons: Cost and sagg when hauling heavy loads. You could get airbags for that though

Just my opinion!!
