People are spraying tailpipes with it. Surely that's hotter.

EDIT - Found a thread that has what I am talking about. Although I think these are professionally painted and not dipped.

My tailgate handle suffered some damage so I bought a plain black one and tried to Plasti Dip it. I used Gun Metal Grey and Silver Metalizer Finish and much to my disappointment I'm not even in the ballpark. At $25 a can this was a costly experiment.

This thread is awesome!

I don't have my F150 just yet but have a 98 S10 that that is rough around the bed because my liner did not come up over the sides. I am thinking I could use this to create a plastidip coating that could cover up all the scratches and provide protection.

I'd undo the cap, the white caps set apart the higher package trucks from the work truck packages, all black looks kinda cheap. But I do like the reflector blacked out. Just my 2¢

Plastic dipped my 20" FX rims today. I didn't want to dip my lugs. I thought about taping but that would take forever. I went to Walgreens and bought a box of the finger gloves. They were easy to put on and take off. Cost about 7 bucks for a box of 30. I put them over the tire stem as well.

You don't rub or touch tailpipes with your hands though. That is why it is likely to come off. Just like door handles.

Didn't know it was coming off the door handles. Why are people still spraying them then?
