Lets see those plasti-dip projects

You might as well just hit it with the red. If you paint over dip you lose the ability to easily peel the dip off. It will flake and break off in tiny pieces if you try to remove it later.

If I'm not mistaken, that red PD is the same color red as code E4. At least that's what a guy with a E4 Ranger told me, and it appears he's right.

I'd hate to give false info, apologies to anyone if I did.
Was it too dark, or too light?

Ya, I am as well on many things. But you gave an idea, I wonder if it would match up with PQ, Race Red. May be time for me to experiment, unless some else knows! LOL

After a couple of days in the garage and 8 cans of Plasti Dip think Im done. PD's, Rims, bumpers, emblems, badges, grill, mirror reflectors, vent rings, all handles. If the RIMs don't last, I think I will need to powder coat. Think I like it!

Tip #1
Apply some spray wax to all the PD and it will lose that "grippy" feel and make it less likely to peel and edge while you washing/wiping with a Microfiber towel.
Tip#2
A water-based dressing will keep it looking dark and new.
I use Chemical Guy G6 Hypercoat on my wheels. There are others I am waiting to try but I want to use all of it up first.
