For the gas door, you don't need to use that much tape in a circle design. Just make a square of news paper an inch away from the door all around and a few strips of tape. Take advantage of the ability to easily peel. Depending on where your spraying, the overspray helps you.

Did my wheels over the weekend. Definitely didn't use as many cans as most people seem to but did 4-5 coats per wheels, so we'll see if I sprayed heavy enough as time goes on. Over-prepped wheel 1, wasted way too much time. Wheels 2-4 just pulled off, taped off the valve stem, dropped cotton ***** in the lug nut holes, and sprayed!
Think my grille is next - paint is getting a little chipped so I'll probably pd the bars black then add a coat or 2 or silver metalizer to keep a touch of grey

Dipped and tricked badges
I did a pencil rub of the "XLT", sprayed the badges then hand cut the letters using the rubbed stencil. Turned out pretty sweet. Dipped ovals and added camo there as well. Working on the bumpers and wheels next.

Dipped front and back emblems
Here's my emblems. I wanted to black out my emblems but I didn't like the way they looked so I tried using the gunmetal grey plasti-dip over the top of the emblem and it actually made the navy blue look black and turned the chrome to more of a gunmetal color. Came out pretty cool. Not the best picture but I'll try to get a better one
