A little more info may help:
- no power? Did the power just drop off or has it faded with time?
- does the engine run smooth?
- FPDM replaced?
- fuel mileage?
- any other symtoms?

P0358 FORD

P0358 FORD - Ignition Coil 'H' Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

Comments | Add Yours
Possible causes
- Faulty Ignition Coil 8
- Ignition Coil 8 harness is open or shorted
- Ignition Coil 8 circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM) Help with this

When is the code detected?
Each ignition circuit is continuously monitored by the Engine Control Module (ECM). The test fails when the ECM does not receive a valid pulse signal from the ignition coil.
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- Engine may be harder to start
- Engine hesitation
- Rough engine idle
P0358 FORD Description
The ignition system on the vehicle uses individual ignition coils for each cylinder. The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls each ignition coil operation. The ECM sends a ON/OFF signal to energize the ignition coil to create a spark at the spark plug when a spark is required at the cylinder.

The code appeared before all the atempts for repair. Good gas milage above 18MPG. The FPDM has not been replaced. I asked the shop about it. The shop says that they do not go out just alittle but all at once. All the items have been checked or replaced. Soon the repair will be worth more than the truck.

Got truck back from shop. Still P0358 code. Switch injectors no change. hen Truck runs good for about 3 minutes after I clear the code. Then the code kicks out #8, then it runs rough. Still need help.
