Quite the hospitallity here... sheesh. God forbid someone ask the "brethren" on the damn forum for some of THEIR advice on a new recent thread. I'm sure stuff can change and sure there are hundreds of threads.

Haven't had my truck tuned, but did have ( 2 ) GT500's done.
.
The best tune is a custom tune, & they don't come via e-mail.
A custom tune is done @ the tuner's shop, developed on YOUR vehicle. ( not some altered for your needs file tune )
The tuner drives your truck, the tuner data-logs your truck, the tuner makes adjustments based on real driving experience.
When the tuner is happy with the tune, he'll put it on a dyno to groom & proof his work.
A custom tune will run around $ 500.00, not including a trip to the dyno, ( $ 175 ), or the hand held, ( $ 400 ).
" MOST " truck owners will settle for a canned tune from one to the large tune factories........now you know !!

My 16 2.7 ran 5 star tune with an x4.
loved it. Performance tune was awesome couldn't keep my foot off the pedal until I noticed my mpg got cut in half. Economy tune got back the 2mpg I lost with 34"*12.5 tires and left better power than stock
