I doubt it. They talked for years about putting a diesel in the Ranger and we all know how that turned out.

They still do and it gets 30mpg to boot. Problem is it isn't for sale here.

They have a desiel ranger now, it's just in Mexico and all the other non American countries. They didn't want it effecting their f150 sales because it was so comparable.

Exactly the reason why. And there were no govt. Mandated fuel consumption rates.
