If you are looking at the older trucks - it seems that the durability is based on how well the leather was taken care of, which is usually pretty evident based on how they look. There are alot of cleaners and conditioners which help maintain and restore the King Ranch leather.
This. Neighbor has an 07 F150 KR and I have an 08 F150 Lariat. Hers has the saddle leather, and it still looks good, but she takes very good care of it. The saddle leather takes much more maintenance than standard leather. The only difference in her truck and mine, is the 2 tone paint and the leather. We even had the same rims (I now have aftermarket 20's so I can add bigger tires) but they had different center caps.
