Does anyone have any REAL information on how to set up the Kicker Sub for 2018 models? I have a STX with the 6 speaker system, pre-wired for the sub. I purchased the kicker system from a Ford dealership and Kicker provided the install instructions, however, the radio code for 2018 is different than the 2015-2017 years (which is ICEFS in case you're wondering). When I try to talk to Ford about it, they say it's Kicker's problem, when I talk to Kicker they blame Ford (and round we go). I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with this install.

I can appreciate the fact that the 2018 is really not that different than the 2015-2017, however, this is one area where they are not the same.

 

What radio code are you talking about?
Regardless for the Ford OEM Kicker sub to work you need to have the mid level radio (Sirius xm compatible), then the dealership will use IDS to enable the sub output from the stock radio/acm. This is what I did on my 2018 and it worked great when I had it (sold it).
