Keyless Entry Code
I hope I don't wear out my welcome my first day here, but this looks like the place to find answers!
We don't know the code for the keyless door entry on the used truck we just bought last week. Hubby called the local Ford dealership and they said $49.95 to put it on a computer and get the code for us. Is that the only way? Thank you!!!! |
Afraid so...

unless the person you bought it from knows it, yes

Check local locksmiths. Some have the scan tool that can retrieve the code.
Mine does. . |
Most likely already tried this, but have you checked your owners manual? Usually there's a white little card in there with the code.
Otherwise scanning is the only process. Then again, check this out. Haven't tried it though. http://underground-secret.com/ford_k...ntry_code.html |
i am unsure were the security module is on the older f150's, but on the 04-08's you can remove the backseat and find the 5 digit code on the module itself, some work, but free
|
Some of the regular cab trucks have it posted under the dash. If i remember its on the drivers side on a white module right above the break pedal. Hope this helps. It is behind the back seat on the wall for Scab and Screw. Thats how i had to get mine.

That is not the only way. The code is written on the module that accpets the code and unlocks the doors. if you can find it its on that. This is directly from a ford mechanic.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!
All these suggestions had hubby combing over the inside of the truck last night.....and he FOUND IT!!!! He found the module with the number, it worked, and we reset it to a code we wanted!!!!! My question now....is why Ford charges so much to hook it to a PC to pull a code that they can go look at on the module??????? :glare: |
