3M tinting on your truck!
Hi everyone, I am looking at getting the 3M color stable on my 2018 F150. I am going to get the 20% on the front windows, and am trying to decide if I should go with 50% or 35% on the back. Does anyone have any recommendations of what percentage to put over the rear factory tints? I am aiming to have as close to a uniform look but def want the back windows tinted to UV/Heat protection.

If you're looking for heat rejection get ceramic tint. The darkness is cosmetic and you should get what you think looks best. I live in the south and can't begin to tell you how good ceramic tint blocks the sun's heat. You can literally feel the difference when you put the window down.

I've always done 20% on my fronts and 5% (limo) over the rear factory tinted glass. Make sure to do a ceramic or, at the very least, a metalized film as most will be color stable (won't turn purple) and have higher heat rejection numbers compared to a dyed film.
50% over the back glass will be barely noticeable and will be closest to the uniform look you are after. That being said, 35% won't make all that much of a difference, either, and will give you better heat rejection numbers.
