It's a bumpy ride

Looking for some advice on getting a better ride. Went on a 300 mile road trip and felt every bump on I95. What I have is a BDS 4" lift with 20x9 wheels wrapped in 35x12.5 Ridge Grapplers. Originally, it was a FX4 so I used the front stock shocks and upgraded the rears to Fox 2.0. I've had this setup for over 6 months and I'm at the point where I gotta do something about the ride. I'm not looking for a airbag quality, just something to smooth it out a bit.

So my question is do I need to change the front shocks or move to coils (if so, what shocks will be good with a 4" lift)?
OR will changing the tires in size or brand make a difference?

Too much air in the tires is the 1st thing I'd check, if so that will help some. You took a truck and put tractor tires on it. You can't expect it to still ride like a truck. If that is what you want go back to the factory setup.

Those aren't bumps on i95 there pot holes ,it's amazing how smooth a 1979 f150 cruzes compared to newer trucks

Per Nitto recommendations I should be @ 42psi which I am. Not sure what riding like a "truck" is suppose to feel like. I've had a Tundra TRD and when comparing my stock FX4 the Tundra was smoother. My Father has a 2019 Lariat and his is way smother when comparing both to stock. So I'm wondering if the FX4 shocks are stiffer and when adding 12ply tires made it worse.

You should fill your tires to the pressures listed on the label on the drivers door jamb.

if those are 10 ply tires, they're never going to ride nicely.

Also reusing stock struts with level spacers isn't going to improve ride either.

those specs only refer to p-rated tires. not 10-ply.

Door listed is 275x65r18 on a 18x7.5 wheel at 39psi. Since I know longer run that setup the number changes that's why Nitto was contacted.

More like 12ply which isnt any better. I guess I'll have to start looking for a lower ply tire that looks as good to the Ridge Grapplers.

As far as shocks I'll guess I need to do some research to find a setup that will work. Cheaper to do shocks than 4 tires.

Any recommendations?

The tires will have the most immediate change in ride quality. Shocks will help but not enough to overcome those tires.
