Default Ipod sync issues.

Driving a 2010 lariat SCREW with the factory touch screen with navigation.

I have an "classic" ipod connected through the usb with roughly 17,500 songs. Until recently no issues. as of late though artists have not been showing up in the list when you scroll through on the touch screen. I thought maybe it was an ipod issue and reset the ipod and re-loaded all the music onto it. still there are artists not showing up. if you disconect the ipod they show up on the ipod screen.

I have looked at a few places and ipod and sync just point the fingers at each other. any one have any similar issues? or have a fix?

Hi, Fisticuffs -

Did you add any new music prior to this occurring?

When SYNC is having trouble recognizing iTunes music from your media player, you can run SYNC My iTunes to correct the most common errors in your music library and fix issues.

To download this tool, log in to your www.SyncMyRide.com account, click on UPDATE SYNC SOFTWARE from the right side of the page. The link will be at the very bottom.

Let me know if this helps or if you have any questions.

When this started happening I had not added any new music. I formated the ipod again and pulled the fuse for the sync to try and reset it. as of now all of the music seems to be showing up. I will definiley try this as well.
Thank you

Glad to hear it, Fisticuffs! Hopefully that takes care of it, but if the issue persists, give Sync My iTunes a try.

I have also had issues with my sync and iPod Classic (07 model). The voice commands have stopped working saying that the "device doesn't support voice commands." This same iPod worked just fine with voice commands in my 08 explorer.

I have a 2013 FX4.

Does anyone have any ideas in how to fix this? Or has sync designers decided to only work on newer iPod devices?

Hi, Thunder04 -

Disconnect your iPod, soft reset it, and reconnect:

Send me a PM and let me know if this worked.

I have tried to PM you but can't seem to get that to work right either... Below is my message:

Hey, thanks for the response. I have tried this a few times since I received your response and I get the same answer: "speech control not available with this device."

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
