This fell off my truck today is it important? Should I put it back on? It's from the bottom of the truck just behind front axel.

Sound dampener. I took mine off last time I changed the oil and I haven't noticed any difference.

Maybe the 2011's didn't get them. I bought my truck CPO with 15K miles at a Ford Dealer and its never had anything like that under there.


You're right I don't even notice

It has to be removed to check the tranny fluid level. Its part of the skid plate package. It supposedly dampens road noise from under the dash.
It costs $350 from Ford if you want to replace it.
At my last oil change at the dealership, the tech didn't fasten mine well and it fell off in the street while backing into my driveway. I was not a happy camper.

Mine is a 2011 Chrisj. So 2011 should have it unless some one took it off.
