Using external Speakers/Receiver while truck is off
Hoping someone can help me figure this out....
We like to go to the drive in movie theatre in our area. the last time we went, we took our 2010 F150, so we could all sit in the bed of the truck. I have an extra set of surround sound speakers and receiver that I like to take and use. I have a Duracell Inverter 300 - DC to AC power inverter - 240 Watt that I plug into the 12V outlet. It worked great for the first half of the movie, and then battery died. I have done this before on my Saturn Outlook SUV with no issues. Is there a way to do this with the truck without draining the battery? Or is there something I can buy minus a generator that can power the receiver and speakers?
Thanks,
Paul
