If not a bull bar then what....??
I like the look of the bull bar and have a set of rigid dually 2's to hook up. But I question the function of the bull bar other than holding lights.
So, what else is there? I like a lot of the front end options but there seem to be so many brands and price options. I am interested in what you guys have.
So if you have a bull bar or another type of grill guard post what you like about it or dont like about it.
and where you have your cube LED lights installed?
I have searched and just a bunch of general topics come up so thanks for that suggestion in advance.

I bought my bull bar for looks (and to hold the lights) but I am guessing that it probably saved me from buying a new bumper too. As it turns out, it's a great parking lot protection device. I'm not sure how you ding a stainless steel bull bar (like the photo below) but it took a pretty good hit and I'm glad it was there.
I was going to get a new bull bar, but what the heck, it is a truck.

I have a Westin Bull Bar, same as the one pictured above.
Pros:
- holds lights
- protects front end (sort of)
- looks alright
Cons:
- Rust.
I got backed into in a parking lot. The bull bar took the hit. However, the way it mounts doesn't allow it to be fixed super tight. So it swiveled back and was pressed against my truck when I came out. I was lucky to not have damage to my truck, but it could have left a mark for sure.
It also started to rust less than 1 month in. Westin claims to have a life time warranty so I'm just going to take this thing off and return it.
I have 2 KC lights which I will mount in the hole where the front license plate bracket is.

Cons:

I had never seen this before until this picture, then on my way home just now, I saw a truck just like this one with the exact tire holder! I thought that was pretty ironic lol.
Only difference was the truck was white and had it's license plate attached to the front of the wheel
