Default I Will Never buy any other tire

This was the first weekend of the Alabama hunting season that was really wet , and if Anyone is from Alabama they know how nasty the mud gets down here.

When I first bought my nitto terra grapplers I was looking for a big tire that would also perform well on the highway because I do a lot of traveling. As well as get me through the occasional slop that built up on the dirt roads at my hunting camp. Well this weekend was a little more than I ever bargained for. The entire road was six inches of pure slop. But to my astonishment the terra grapplers combined with the four wheel drive have me no trouble at all. I did have to occasionally stomp it to clear tread but it did amazing. Sitting in the stand all I could think about was how well the tires did.

IMO the street performance mixed with the off road performance, the terra grappler is the best tire in the market and it's safe to say I will never run any other tire. That's just my $0.02. Just had to rant about it. And I would love to hear any other of your thoughts on the terra grappler.

I liked the Terra Grapplers I had. They performed very well off the road. They did seem to wear down quickly compared to my Michelin LTX's though. ( I know these tires are apples and oranges, but they wore out faster than I thought they should. Not as bad as the Kumhos though.) I might buy Terra Grapplers again, but I'd be doing so knowing they would be an off-road tire.

Glad you like your tires. I, on the other hand, wouldn't own another pair. BTW...not sure about everyone else...but I wouldn't consider driving through 6 inches of slop a tremendous feat...JMO.

Haha yeah but I had a 250 behind me with a six inch and some 35 mud grapplers and a winch. So I weighed the consequences..

when i read threads like this, the firist obvious question that comes to mind, would be:
what other tires have you run on this truck to compare them to?

^He means avatar.

All terrains can surprise you off road, just as long as it's not clay. I've gotten stuck in just a couple inches of mud bc of a slick clay bottom.

If anyone is looking for a very good MT with good road manors get the Firestone Destination MT. I run them and so does my roomate and we have nothing back to say about them. Very quiet and the mileage we have gotten out of them is great.

To the OP. Where are you in Alabama? I'm in Tuscaloosa.

Nitto seems to make a great tire. I haven't had the Terras, but I have the Mud Graps and I am in love with the way they perform as well. Glad you found a tire that works for you
