I was halfway through reading your story and was thinking - "geez, maybe he's gonna tell us he scored or something with this chick".....but it was a non-event

Wow I'm at a loss for words.

Now this lady is going around trying to save face by telling people it was just as much my fault as it was hers. Um I'm not sure what else I could of done to get her attention short of firing my pistol in the air like Yosemite Sam. The nerve this lady has to not only fail to acknowledge she was in the wrong but now she is going to bend the truth to make herself look better to others.

I really hope she has the nerve to come for me for help on something work related.

And no she is not worth dipping my log into. She is far from hot. More like rode hard and put up wet to dry. I guess maybe 30 years ago she was paper bag dark room drunken slamming material but she ain't no milf these days.

Accidents happen, no matter how careful you are. It sounds like it was a minor wreck, she got out and tried to be helpful and your post berates her as if she's an idiot. I'm sure you've never had a temporary lapse in judgement before?

Take a deep breath, file your insurance claim and move on with life. There's no sense in getting so worked up over some sheet metal and paint work.

I am calm and I stayed cool. I never lashed out at her at I stayed cool and just bit my lip. What I felt like inside was another story.

Yes accidents happen. I stated that. I also stated that yes it is 'just a truck'. My main issue is with her not being honest with me or herself. Instead she would rather fire off excuses rather than just say she sorry and she wasn't paying attention. It's more a principle than the damage. Pardon the phrase for her but she should of just 'manned up'.

I ride motorcycles as well and have to share the road with these same mindless souls. It's people like her that kill people blowing thru intersections taking out kids and families. A coworker told me today he saw her get into her suv while talking on her cell so that makes even more sense why she seemed so preoccupied with something other than operating a vehicle.

And I don't have to deal with insurance. Work is unfortunately going to pick up the tab. Persoanlly I feel she should have to file. It shouldn't be my works responsibility for her lapse of reason but I digress. It's getting fixed so I'm happy. Just hope it looks exactly how it did prior.

Stories like this make me loose more faith in humanity, I.e. part about her saying it was equal fault. I have neighbors who think stop signs are optional with little kids running around. Some barely slow down. They look at me like I'm stupid when I ask them about it or honk.

That's alright everyone is special.

Around here our problem is speeding down dirt roads. My uncles house is maybe 30ft from the road, and it is really straight and packed hard like cement. So bout a mile from his house they were building a house. The construction crews would come down the road with their 350's and 3500's hauling ***. So he took a shovel and dug it a half shovel head deep and a shovel head wide. So the next day bout lunch he was watching his security camera's. They were hauling *** again, they hit that hole and went Fkin air born. Threw tools everywhere, spilt their cooler, and other stuff all over. They picked stuff up for like 20 mins. Last time they sped on his road.

Some cops love doing that in neighborhoods, I agree stopping people who blow through them but I hate when they stop people for rolling em at like 2mph.

As badly as this sucks, at the end of the day- its a truck. A material peice of property (with a soul). It'll get fixed and remain nothing more than a memory.

Oh, and I LOL'ed at a couple different points throughout the novel. Great writing!

I got to say if I spent 30k + on a truck and an ignorant person hit it I'd be pretty Irate. I take pride in my things even cheap thing, I work hard to buy them and dont want to have to buy them again cause I didnt take care of them.
