which hub is bad?
Hey guys,
I think I've got a bad hub, its only really noticable on the highway. I have a humming noise and a little vibration that goes away if I turn the wheel left. I've heeard from different people its the driver side or the passanger side, so I was hoping to get some more opionions. I haven't got the chance to check the hubs for play yet, just hoping someone could help based on the fact it goes away when turning slightly left.
Thanks

If you swerve left and it goes away it is your drivers side. When you turn that way it unloads the bearing hence the sound goes away. If you swerve right you are loading the bearing and it should get more distinct.

just make sure you get a NEW axle nut (does NOT come with a new hub) and do NOT over torque it. its only 20ft pounds on it, which is basically once its screwed on enough to touch the bearing its good.
i went through 3 hubs before figuring/finding that out.
anndddd just realized i wasnt in the 04-08 section when i noticed the thread lol. so may not be the correct info for you on the specs lol
