How's your Box Cover
#11
The Cover has now been off for a week. The plan is to haul more fence when it comes in from on order. Didn't put the cover back on, waiting for the fence. Winter isn't going as originally planned. It is sitting in the corner of the garage patiently waiting my pleasure. LOL

For that clean low profile look with security and water intrusion resistance I went with rollx.
Love the no seam smooth look.
And for times when I need to use my truck as a truck just roll it up out the way, no need to find a spot in the garage to store it and it don't block my rear view like the fold ups.

They called, more fence is in, cover back off then they called and said wrong fence. Now it is snowing and there is the cover in the corner of the garage. Man is it snowing. This is turning into the saga for the Solid Fold and hauling very large objects.

Unique & Different
I went with the BakFlip F1 with optional integrated BakBox. Love the cover, installation is a breeze, mostly water tight (little moisture in the corners), and it's rather lightweight yet durable. Installed the "Dee Zee tailgate assist" and "pop a lock" along with the cover to obtain power tailgate locking which is really a nice match with the BakFlip. Meaning with the cover closed and tailgate power locked (from the remote), it's entirely secure from the outside. A simple click of the remote to unlock the tailgate, open it and the Dee Zee lowers the gate effortlessly, and exposes the cover release if you want to open it up.
Mmmm....That truck look sexy.

Awesome, the F150 gets washed tomorrow and the Solid Fold gets put back on. The fence can wait till late spring now. It's time for the 03 4X4 winter ice journeys and such to begin. Winter, just parked the 11 ta 12 until spring.

The Dodge Slayer
I did have one of those vinyl tunue cover things stretched over the aluminum things with the snaps...
Anywho, a coon ripped a big hole in it trying to get at some fish bait I forgot about in there. But, it worked out in the long run, 'cause when I got the tool box, I just cut that end off! I cut the rails down, and pulled the vinal up tight, turned it under, and secured it with some aluminum plates and pop rivets.
How-some-ever, we were lay'n in fire wood at her brother's house, (which she's house-sitting) the other day, and we took the cover off for bed access. Now I go to put it back on, and I found a big gash in it! WTF!
