2015 Scab XL 101A Sport 2.7EB FX4 to 2018 Screw XLT 302A Sport 3.5EB FX4 for $10,706 which is less than the difference in original MSRP. I doubt you are as upside down as you think unless you overpaid or rolled negative equity.

False. Traded my 2017 WRX LTD 11 months after I purchased it. 19K miles. I took a $2500 hit. You have to remember trading in has nothing to do with what your vehicle is worth, it's just about what the dealer is willing to buy it for. It's worth only comes into play when they sell it. If you want what it's worth, sell it yourself. There's a price to be paid for the convenience of trading right there at the dealer.
I will add that knowing what it's worth does help with understanding what a fair trade is. Remember the dealer have to turn a profit on your trade; how much varies by greed of the dealer lol.

Beat that, lol.
As for the F150, I got a great deal on a 1 year old truck from private seller. Generally you will lose at least $10k if you sell the first year.
