Default How to haul a canoe

Need your help again!

I have an F150 (duh!), 4 full size doors, short box. Just bought a 90 pound canoe. What's the best way to haul it, about an 8 hour drive, without spending a fortune on a rack? I'm short and weak and have no ability or desire to drill holes in the truck to attach something. It's also hard for me to life the canoe and strap it tightly...any suggestions would be appreciated, especially if you have a link to something in the Peel / Halton / Guelph area that could be purchased.
Thanks!

If you don't want to use a ladder rack, building a little trailer like this might be your next best option...

Thank you for your reply! I'm not really sure what a ladder rack is...

Is it possible to have the canoe only on the top of the truck and not need a rack or anything to hold it on the backside, over the bed?

A ninty pound canoe; I though I had the only concrete canoe around.

Princess Auto (Canuck equivalent to Harbour Freight) had a ladder rack on sale fro $70 recently. It fits easily into two stake pockets on one side and leaves the bed free for other stuff; I prefer that solution.
