1. turn off the automatic lights that come on just by unlocking it?
2. turn oft the automatic lights that come on just by opening a door?
3. turn off the automatic cargo light that comes on just because a door is open? (this is one of the stupidest things I've ever encountered, and just plain stays on)

Thanks very much.
I agree, during my Death Valley trek I had to disconnect the battery at every campsite because the lights would turn on every time we opened a door (and the Raptor has 7 additional exterior lights). I didn't want to draw unwanted attention to our very remote campsite.

Further, when the battery is run down, if you don't do long drives the charging system will not charge it up. So if you went to run errands, and say stopped every 10 minutes, you'd eventually get a warning message that the vehicle was shutting things down to conserve battery.
On my last trip, while parked and watching the night sky with my telescope and video camera, it would shut down every 20 minutes, which is another stunningly stupid feature...or at least one that you can't deactivate. That battery will run the stereo for four straight hours without even knowing it. I know...I've done it, just to make sure. All this new stuff drives me nuts. To get into this truck, I sold a 2015 Ram 1500 Eco-diesel. The battery would run the stereo for 7 hours, and the start would be only a little weak, in summer, anyway. Their nanny-hood has gone way over the top, and I'm not a fan.

Dark Mode as mentioned works fine for my 2017. I referenced the needed FORScan changes from
this spreadsheet and did it at home at the same time I did several other programing changes. KM

Some of these features have become totally idiotic, why should a truck light up like a Christmas tree every time you open the frigging door.

I'll give it a whirl. Thank you.

Unbelievable.
My `15 KR has an overhead switch to shut off all interior lights. "I" personally have not seen a pickup since the `60s that did not have the cargo light come on when you open the door. & lastly, your truck must be different than mine, since if I try to leave the radio on, to wax the truck for example, the truck will shut the radio off after about 3 minutes with a message stating something about saving the battery.

You need to start shopping for a new battery, your old one is on it's last legs.

You can hear plenty of music if you open the windows and keep the doors closed. If you need more, you're probably annoying the hell out of your neighbors while camping.

Not likely.

This message is normal. The trick is to do one of three things.

1) Drive more than 1/2 hour without turning off the truck to charge the battery.
2) Buy a Battery Tender Plus and never see the message again. I did this on my 2013 due to driving it less than often.
3) Remove the BMS connector as some have done, which allows the battery to be charged more often AND allows it to discharge more.

When I did the FORScan changes I also changed the radio shutoff timing, the power port timing, DRL, speedometer correction and TPMS.
The "saving the battery" shows every time, if I sit and watch for it after the powerports and radio times off. I consider it a part of the vehicle shut down. My 2 year old battery checks fine. This only started up after a "reset to stock configuration", on the IPC module. KM
