Do you know what brand it is, or where you got it from? Maybe some pics?

Boy that's misadvertisement if i've ever seen it. That my friend absolutely is not ram air or even a cold air intake. Anywho it looks pretty straight forward. Look at the pics in the add and put it on just like that.

The add does say it is for a 5.0 litre only and an engine with a maf sensor only. I dont know anything about your truck but does it meet those requirements? what engine do you have?

First it says if instructions aren't included you can e-mail them for some. Second it says it will fit MAF trucks only and your truck isn't MAF equipped unless it's a California truck. If you want to use it you will have to make it fit however you can.

The MAF will be in the intake tube, it is the thing in that picture the aftermarket tube bolts to. If you check your engine decal you can see if it's a California truck. If it's not a California truck it doesn't have the MAF unless someone converted it. It will have a MAP instead. The MAP has vacuum from the intake manifold so if you look at your decal the MAP will be listed on the decal and you should be able to find it. I really don't think you have the MAF or you wouldn't be having any trouble installing the filter you have.
