Default hood problems

for some reason my hood won't stay open it fell today and whacked me in the head i checked the struts on the side of the hood and every thing looks fine have no idea what it could be PLEASE HELP

How cold is it where you are? The struts may look fine, but they are probably wearing out, I've have had that happen on a few vehicles I've owned. New struts and your good to go, or if you don't want to pick up some new struts, sticks are miracle workers.

The struts probably lost the nitrogen charge, a common problem.

Prop up the hood and disconnect the strut. You should not be able to compress it by hand.

Last time I was in Autozone, they must have had 40 different sizes, bring yours in to match it up.

yeah i used a stick to finish what i was doing i live in houston not as cold as the rest of the country but my truck is an 01 thanks
