Default Homemade rain drip guard for bed cover

This has been holding up for quite a while now, I meant to share earlier... I used extreme weather duct tape (looks like black vinyl) and taped front and back of bed cover seal to keep rain from running in when bed is closed. I attached velcro so it stays back long enough for me to shut the bed, then it hangs over top and keeps rain from entering...

If I had to do that to my tonneau cover, it would be getting returned.

how does your seal prevent water from entering? the seal on mine, doesnt press against the tailgate hard enough to prevent water from getting past it.

I wonder if you don't have it mounted to far forward.
My seal at the cab sits tight, and so does the tailgate.
If I can remember to take a pic tomorrow, I will.

I found these pics, can kind of see how far back it sits. I'll get better tomorrow.

i have it adjusted as far back towards tailgate as it allows and i still have a gap between tailgate and rubber seal. the seal curves down and slightly inward, leaving a gap just big enough for rain to keep pouring in.

Sounds like it’s installed wrong or it’s the wrong cover for the year truck. The Teuxedo lo pro tonneau on my 2008 seals up against the tailgate perfectly and has done so for 11 years. Water has never entered there.

The cover just simply isn't long enough for the bed.
