My rails come all the way back to the gate, which in turn pushes that rubber gasket against the tailgate when closed.
Tuxedo lo pro.

thanks for the pics, now i see why mine leaks. I installed mine with the rubber stops on the tracks, pressed directly against the front of the cab and i have it adjusted as afar back as adjustment allows. im wondering if i unbolt the tracks and slide them down a little, if it will leave a gap in the front...

thats the way i originally tried to keep the seal, but couldnt keep it above the tailgate so water would run off. i dont remember if i tried closing tailgate before trying to latch the cover, ill give that a try... I thought the tailgate was suppose to be closed after cover was latched.

I really like mine. Bought it for $20 off craigslist.
I have heard that their customer service is great also, if you would ever have a warranty issue.

After reviewing replies well now im feeling a little silly, i latched it 'after' the tailgate was closed and the seal stays on top allowing water to run off. before i was closing tailgate after it was latched and thats when the water kept running in...
but from pulling on the seal so much, it started to tear, now i need new seal, any recommendations?
