This above is why I will NOT invest until the product proves itself. The EcoBoost was a BIG step for Ford and nobody wants to be their guinea pig.

Nobody?

I don't know anybody that has a problem with the ecoboost in real life.

I take some of the posters here with a grain of salt, no picture proof just words written from couple post accounts could be anybody. I could go make an account tomorrow on gm forums and say I got a oil burning piece of junk does that make it true?

I have all the signs talked about from noise at start up to erratic shifting going up slight grades because the timing chain is failing. My 2011 EcoBoost has 29 error codes up and Ford is walking away from everything. I have talked to a couple of other dealerships and they told me they are starting to see issues with this also. These are the last two letters I have received from FORD

256,00 miles and still looks and runs like new.

Bumped an old thread but thought it was relevant and also maybe a few more have broke the 200k mark.

Very nice! Thanks for the update! Have you just followed the manual for maintenance?

Just bought it. Put about 1000 miles on it now with no issues. Did a lot of thinking before I bought it. The guy that detailed it for the dealership I know and he told me that all the maintenance records were in the truck and the previous owner took really good care of it.

Well now I'm curious what maintenance was done to keep her running nice? How much did you pick up the truck for if you don't mind me asking?

Traded in my 2004 F150 Lariat Super crew with 247,000 miles on it. Paid $10,400 at this price if I dump another motor into it I am still at NADA.
