Just saw this on a window sticker. Factory HIDS for $600???
How are dealers charging more than double for these?

Go price the components on www.fordparts.com well over $2000. Unless your trying to compare with the aftermarket garbage that's out there.

So it's either spend $600 upfront or over $1000 later?

Absolutely. Think you can buy all the components of your truck, individually, for what you paid for your truck or less? No way. If you could, someone else would be buying the parts, building the vehicle and selling it.

$1,181.00 for just the housings http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....ck-p-1295.html

And another $1,260.00 for the innards. http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....ll-p-1298.html

Ebay for your best price.

When they 1st came out I paid $1,300 off ebay for a complete kit.

The Retrofit Source seems to have the best prices, $750 for chrome housings and $850 for black housings. That also includes the adapter harness.

yes, it get's pricey quick once you add the ballasts and bulbs. It would be cheaper to pay a retrofitter to use a generic morimoto kit. Always buy stock if you can afford it/find it.

Those prices are just for the housings and the harness. You have to add bulbs for a min of $50, and then the ballasts they make you select add another $400. Bringing the total to a tidy $1300 for the black ones.
