2005 Ford F-150 5.4 3v 2wd, dropped the oil pan and found this in my intake ?

So pulled out what I could and it looks more like plastic with a couple shavings

What size impact do I need to take off the water pump ? The one I have is way to big to fit down in there

Looks like it’s got little groves for a gear so is that a timing component?

I got the pump off with a basic 10mm wrench and socket wrench. Was pretty easy actually but soon as I pulled the water pump it started storming ☔️👍
