I had this message happen after a flood happened here in Texas was out rescuing people went through some deep water read a lot of places that it could be the rack and pinion I had the steering assist fault and hill assist come on. I just replaced the part and it is still stiff very hard to turn but the hill assist and check engine lights are off but the steering assist fault still on. I also read that it needed to be programmed is this true or could it be a different part giving me the issue?

vehicle is a 2018 ford f150.
got the part from Detroit axel
and yea pretty much it anyone have this issue? Can anyone give me some input. Anything will help thanks in advance
