HELP please...Locked Keys in the cab!!

Hi.

2006 F-150.

Keys are on seat, NOT in ignition.

I DID pry the door open, both sides, to depress the unlock button on armrest with an extended rod.

But I got NO RESPONSE from both unlock buttons. They were suitably pressed too.

Is this because the keys are not in the ignition switch?

Ready to break the rear slider.

Any suggestions?

Thank you in any regard,

hunts318

Ford has a disable function on the rocker switch for the locks after about 10 seconds when the vehicle is locked electrically

Call a towing company or pop a lock, why tear up the truck?!

This is why i got to Lowes or Home Depot and make key copy even though it wont start the vehicle it will open the door :) Sometimes a locksmith will need to duplicate the key but hey beats bagging the doorframe.

Get local Fire Co to open it for you. SlimJim.
If the guys know what they're doing, they'll have it open in no time.
I used to do it all the time.

Blow FD resources on something as trivial as this? This is generally bad advice....especially at the risk of being billed for it.

I am sorry, but how did you come to own a truck worth a damn without the basic knowledge of calling AAA, or Pop A Lock, or any number of services before coming to the conclusion that prying on the door is the way to? And you are ready to break glass?

Maybe it is disabled to deter theft, yanno somebody doing that exact thing to get in?

WTF?

OP's first post. He probably only joined this forum to ask that question and will never be back.

If you have some time, Ford dealer can get key code from vin and cut a cheap key that will work in the door, but won't start the truck. Will be cheaper than calling a tow truck to get in.

I've read on here that fire departments sometimes like the opportunity to help, as they need to keep up their training on breaking into locked cars. RES4CUE posted that recently in another thread.

Is your cell phone locked in the truck too? If not, call a company to unlock the truck for you instead of tearing up your ride.
