Default Help me understand rim sizing, back spacing, will they fit?

Found some 285/75/16 tires that I want but I need new wheels too. Looking at these pro comp 16x8 and have no idea what any of the sizing means, if they are wide enough, etc. back spacing is 4 and offset is -12. I have a 2014 stx 4x4 with the stock wheels and tires and I don't want the new wheels to stick out from the wheel wells. Help me out!

Here are the wheels I've been looking at

You'll need at least a 17" wheel with a 6x135mm pattern to fit a 2014 F-150.

1) HINT/TIP: You'll find posting in the
Late Model F150s > 2009 - 2014 Ford F150
section more helpful/appropriate than General F150 Discussion posts.
.

2) The following is a sticky in the above section ....
QUESTION: How did you envision the a 5 stud rim would fit?
.

That sticky doesn't say how to figure out if a tire will fit on a rim...

You must be really fun at parties.

Just kidding. We know you don't get invited to parties.

One of the specifications for tires is - recommended rim width. A review of the spec' of a tire will provide that information (along with section width, tire width, tire diameter, etc.). e.g. @TireRack

As for for determining other fitment related spec's ....
Party-on!
