Ecoboost vs 8-speed hemi 0 to 60
I've been researching over and over again for 0 to 60 acceleration numbers for my truck (2013 FX4 S-Crew EB 3.73 4x4) vs the 2013 Ram Sport with the 8-speed. Half the articles I check, my truck is faster... half the articles, the Ram is faster. Furthermore, all the acceleration numbers are very different from site to site, video to video. I just wanna know if I should bother racing a Ram with the hemi/8-speed. I'm not talking towing or loaded or anything. I just wanna know if my EB is faster than the hemi off the line without any added weight... just two trucks and two drivers. Anyone have hard numbers? Thanks!
PS - Please tell me the EB is stronger 0 to 60 than the hemi 8-speed

1/4 times vary from driver to driver just like MPG's.
Your 60' and reaction time are the keys to winning the 1320'

Keepin' the lights on!
Get a custom tune for your EB and wave bye to those hemi's as you drive off. Boost launch in 4hi to get a better jump.

I thought Trucks were for towing your Boat or Travel Trailer, hauling a load to the Dump or picking up Mulch at the Home Depot. With a few exceptions they're not really engineered for Drag Racing. If you want to go fast buy something that goes fast.

Your probably seeing differences in stats because some places are doing it at sea level and some at elevation.
Bottom line is, both trucks stock are pretty even. Of course if you tune your truck you'll easily be able to take the Hemi. Just hope your doing your racing at the track...
