Help with getting new truck!
If you don't drive a whole lot, and regularly want a new vehicle, it can be a good way to go. If you figure that as long as you are making payments, you don't really own it, anyway, the bank does. Trading for a new lease every three years can be a lot easier than buying new every three years. One of the downsides is that insurance rates are considerably higher for a lease. On the other hand, for that three year lease, all mechanical problems cost you nothing to repair.
How is a diesel better for a daily driver? I don't know what diesel costs where you're at but it's pushing 4 bucks a gallon here. Back in the early 2000's, yeah diesel was the way to go. Back when gas was only a buck 30 a gallon and diesel was even cheaper. But now, everybody drives a diesel and diesel has sky rocketed. A diesel gets better MPGs but in the long run you come out cheaper on fuel with a gas burner because it's a good bit cheaper usually.
