I would be pissed too
I'm just frustrated as hell. All the way around the ball was dropped. Unfortunately no pickup truck is available as a rental in the place of what they gave me. What they gave me cant tow our camper. Hopefully, Ford will find some way to help offset this cost with free oil changes or something to help soften the financial blow this is giving me. Thank God the truck is under warranty.

Might be out of your expertise, but in your experience when the new driveshaft is put in do they usually do the U joints and bearing as well? Im being told only one U joint needed replacement and that the bearing looked ok. I read through a couple of ford repair manuals and they both said when replacing drive shaft it is recommended that U joints and Bearings be replaced as well. I tend to agree with the manual. If the shaft has been shaking and is in poor condition, I'm sure this added stress to the bearing and both U joints, No? Thoughts

the driveshaft should come with a new center support bearing and u-joints already installed on it. That's how they have always come in the past. In fact that is the only way you can get the center support

Excellent. Maybe when the advisor was describing things to me he was only explaining what they found rather than what was being replaced. I could’ve at that point been so aggravated that I blocked it out lol.
Thanks again for your time.

Sorry for the delay as I was waiting for Ford to wrap up my case.
Finally after 28 days at the dealer, on the 29th day I received a call from the rep I was working with at Ford saying my truck would be finished later in the day. The shaft was pushed back a 2nd time delaying the service by an additional week + . Then When I went to pick the truck uP the service advisor explains I have a bad battery. He says while in there they had to jump it twice and after running tests discovered it had a bad cell. Furthermore he said my CPO warranty didn’t cover batteries. I had to call the dealer I bought the truck from and voice my loud displeasure. I explained I hadn’t drove the truck in 4 weeks(since I drove it from their lot to the dealership near my home). I also voiced my concern that under their COP inspection , again they checked something as being good that wasn’t. . Once they confirmed I didn’t have the vehicle and it was at the dealer the whole time they finally agreed to pay for the battery.
The good news is I explained all of this to my case manager and also explained having to rent a vehicle for my brother so I could use his truck to tow our camper for vacation. She was very sympathetic and apologetic. Her name was Megan and I was very happy with her customer service. She referred me to another case manager after I asked about reimbursement. After opening another case Ford came back and agreed to send me a check. They made this right at the corporate level and I am glad I called them rather than just sit back pissed off.

Yesterday a new problem came up. My check engine light came on. It’s giving a code of P007B. I made an appointment for Thursday. 😕 Hoping this is easily fixed. I realize trucks have problems but my past 2 were great and between the two of them in 12 years I think I only had issues 4 times(outside of normal maintenance). This one just seems to be off to a really poor start.
