Help! 2008 4.6
I have a 2008 F150 4x4, 4.6, 283,000 miles. Started acting up a few days ago, from past experience I thought it was a bad coil. I have swapped out the coil and since moved it to another cylinder, new plug and moved the fuel injectors around and have not corrected the issue. My tuner keeps showing 2 codes, P0303 and P0316. Don’t know what to do next. Any recommendations greatly appreciated. |
here is some information that should help you

Check compression.

Just following up on this. Had to take my truck in to my mechanic as I went as far as I could. He tested voltage at the coil connector and was good, compression was good as well. Found coolant in the cylinder and had air bubbles in the coolant overflow tank. The consensus is a blown head gasket.
I am going to pick up my truck today and stop by the parts store and get a container of Bars Leaks head gasket sealer and see if I can get another couple of weeks and decide what I am going to do for a new set of wheels. With the high mileage and overall condition of my truck I can't justify the cost of repairing or replacing the engine. |
that gasket sealer can last more than a few weeks
