Default Help on '14 lease negotiation

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum.. And am currently a prospective 2014 F150 buyer. After endless spreadsheets on buy used vs. buy new vs. lease, I've concluded leasing is the best overall option for my personal situation.

I've been quoted a current lease deal (which apparently expires sept 30) for the following as reference: $410/month with $0 down for 24 months, XLT supercab 5L V8 with 302A + convenience package (looks like fully loaded xlt).. This is a specific package being offered by Ford as a lease deal... I.e. If I change any of these options it results in a much worse deal this this one. I should also mention I have X plan.

So here's my questions- I have never leased before.. When I purchased my wife's '14 fusion I spent endless hours at dealers..haggling, comparing prices, and haggling some more. Is it worth the effort to go through multiple quotes from various dealers, and to execute the same negotiations for a lease? I do not know how these lease packages get established.

I've read on these forums that 20% off msrp is a good target when purchasing a new '14 f150, given the fact that '15s will be out shortly.
This quoted price represents 13% off MSRP, including x plan... Is this reasonable or should I be pushing hard for 20%?

Thanks in advance... I can't wait to sit into my first ever f150... Eventually. Also, anyone that has recently leased a '14 please also please chime in with your experience!!

Thanks and pls be kind to the new guy...

Erik

Ok thanks. So should I scrap x plan and pursue a better negotiated sales price?

This was for a 10,500/yr lease..

Wouldn't work for me. I have put on 7900 in less than five months. What are typical allowed miles for lease?

I just can't get my head around why, other than business tax reasons, people lease. The only reason I can come up with is so they can drive a vehicle they can't otherwise afford. Then after the lease they have nothing to show for it. But, it's your money, do what you want.

10,500

12,000

13,500

15,000

18,000

with a lease if you stay leasing you get a new vehicle every 2-3 years, always is under factory warranty, and dont have to worry about maintenance outside of oil changes, tire rotations and the occasional air filter
