Default Headlights

What are the brightest headlight bulbs that last a decent amount of time. Also I'm talking about just bulbs themselves and I don't like the really blue ones.

I have the Sylvania Ultrastar and like them a lot. You can also look Philips and PIAA bulbs. I hear good things from them as well. My Sylvania's have been on my truck for a year with zero problems.

I agree with you!! I had bought some that are under 20$ but did not last a month but the dealer had given me another set for free seeing that they did not last long I would get the ones you mentioned the next time I need a pair heard good things about those as well. Take it from me don't go the cheap route you'll be buying more that will eventually end up costing you the same amount as a good pair

You can get white HID's, that would probably be your best bet. Or if you dont want to deal with the ballasts, you can get Sylvania Silverstar zxe's which is what I have on my truck.

I'm about to order a set a silverstar ultras as they have they on sale at auto zone right now. My only concern is that many people say they are worst than stock when driving in the rain. Can someone give me their opinions on how they are in the rain?

I dont know if that is scientifically possible but with mine they were better than stock all around. Only thing that could alter the light would be a different light housing...otherwise the bulb is always going to be the same, raining or not. Just my 2 cents.

That's what I was thinking. What I was reading is that people where saying something about there is a blue tint to the bulb which makes a whiter light which reflects off the water really bad.

I suppose that is possible but I never noticed anything like that at all.

I put Silverstar Ultras in right after I bought the truck in 2010. Not one complaint with them that I can think of. Still working much better than the crappy stock bulbs. Only reason I'd change would be for HIDs, which would include new 2013 housings or retrofit projectors.
