Default He’s in the area underneath cupholder on 2018

What is this little hidden area under my cupholder insert on my 2018 for? For some reason I can’t upload a photo but if you go into your 2018 with the shifter in the center consul cupholders in the middle and lift up your cupholder insert You will find a little hidden compartment area that looks like it shaped for something specific.

its to put the key in in case the fob battery dies, so you can still start the truck.

Why even bother printing an owner's manual.

You'd think the read the manual ****'s among us would give some kind of a clue like a page number since they apparently have the manual memorized.

don't consider myself a "manual ****" Since I don't normally say "it's in the manual"...... you can find info for the 2018 security features on pages 78 & 79, These two pages give info on the cupholder backup slot

Keep in mind that the OP never said what trim level he has. If he has a truck with a regular key then this slot does nothing in his truck.
