Has anyone installed a Solar Panel on their truck?

The tax credits for a solar system in my area were about 50% between state and federal at the end of the Obama era. Even at that the systems really don't pencil too well if you look at the numbers closely. But as I understood the op's question he just wants to trickle charge the battery. Probably will need a small extra hole at the front of the bed or wire down between the bed and cab to go underneath the truck.

The solar panel puts out 17.5 volts and 5.8 Amps so it should be plenty, I run that same Engle MT80 Fridge in my 99 4Runner for years without a solar panel, If I drive the vehicle for a minimum of 30 minutes a day the battery will stay charged enough to start the vehicle the next afternoon and wont go dead. My worry now is the BMS on the F-150, I didnt know they had one until the 2nd post of this thread. I am thinking I will connect the solar charge controller directly to the battery and the BMS will sense that the battery is charging or charged and will shut down the alternator thus increasing its life and maybe saving some gas. I guess time will tell.
