I ended up driving another diesel at the dealership and it’s very much like a v8 except the gain of a slightly better mpg. Super quiet. The model they have is missing a few amenities which I require.

Im going to give Ford one last shot and wait 1 month. After that I will just have my order in for the 2019 and continue the wait. I’m extremely picky but I like to get what I pay for. It’s a mental disease.

Did they ever say how much damage was done? Like are they going to have to start replacing body pannels or was it just a few dents?

Told this story here before but here it goes again.
I custom ordered my Jeep xj from the factory back in late '99.
Waited a few months and when it finally arrived i noticed a ding on the pass. side.
I immediately refused it and demanded the dealership order another one.

The manager said OK but lets first see what our PDR guy can do. Got nothing to lose but a day or two.
I reluctantly agreed.
The PDR repair was perfect. Looked at from all angles in the sun, in the shade and could see no signs of the dent but kept it to myself.
I still demanded a new Jeep but told the mngr. i would be willing to hear what if any options the dealership would throw in to make my happy.
After some negotiating the dealership threw in a factory tow package complete with oil cooler, factory fog lights, cargo cover and a factory upper rear window air dam.
I accepted delivery.
18 years and hundreds of thousands miles later all is well with my Jeep.

You might want to take a look at the hail damage and if not that severe and fixed by PDR , you might try the above to negotiate some extra goodies.

Dealer has not clue on the damage and their ford rep has no transparency at this time. This is what they are saying. I’m taking it on their word for it.

The wait continues...sad part hunting season will start and I wish the truck is here for that. I already have my eye on a. diamondback hd and atv.

As I nearly lost hope and canceled my order to process my deposit refund. My dealer got a 2018 F150 Diesel Platinum.

Picked this up tonight. Drive, comfort, technology, and quality is amazing.

Is that the 6.5' bed? Looks short. Nice interior!

Compromised and took the 5.5. Personal opinion looks asymmetrical but the I’m willing to let that grow on me.

Good choice on the interior! Then again, I'm partial to it since it is what I have too!
