Question Gorilla Nuts!

That's just fun to say/type!

I just bought a set of oem 18" wheels for my 2013, FL3Z1007C is the style.

I also just bought some black gorilla nuts (again, lmao!) to go with them, but they seem unnecessarily long. I ordered the 61108CXLBC, which are just shy of 2 1/4" long.

Anyone else order lug nuts for this style wheel that would care to share with me?

Thanks,

I have gorilla nuts too! lol. However my after market wheels give them a nice deep pocket to reside inside of.

Do they give a length/depth....

My winters with free toyota land crusier nuts....on the short side of about 1 1/4 depth
On front stud just pops the shell rear well in the pic...

Did some more digging. These are the only style offered by Gorilla that have the extra-wide 30mm seat. I'm not interested in the narrow set, as the reduced contact makes me nervous.
Looks like I'll have to stay with the long ones of I want black. Don't like the plastic caps...

The wheels off my 14 use the long nuts, the wheels on the 16 have the short nuts. Same seat size though. The wheels themselves though dictate the nut length from Ford. The short nuts are in too deep on the 14 wheels, but they still work fine. The long nuts on the take off wheels would look silly as they would stick out too far.

So the question is, do more Ford wheels use the long nuts than short ones, and that's why there is only one length of them?
