Everyone loves to be negative about changing brands. I'm sure it'll be a fine truck, I just wasn't a fan of the seats or the torque delivery when I tested the Ram. I wouldn't be concerned about reliability.

Very nice truck, I hope you enjoy it. I'm not a burgundy guy but that looks really sharp with the chrome trim.

Thanks guys! I guess I will check in from time to time! I am still a Ford man...wouldn't trade my 71 or 72 Mustangs in for anything! LOL! Honestly, I looked for a 11 or 12 F150 but there were none around. NONE! So I broadened my search to include Ram Trucks and lucked into this one. It has 3800 miles on it so it is technically used. Never titled to an end user but the GM of the Dodge dealership was driving it as a demo or whatever. That shaved almost 10K off the price!

My truck has 3.21 gears and will tow 7900 lbs. Payload is 1417 lbs. I don't know if that is good or not but I rarely tow anything! It did come equipped with electric trailer brake controller in the dash though! I also like that the tailgate locks with the key fob! I was thinking about doing that mod to the F150!

Wink

Back in '10 when I had test driven the "Big Three", I strongly considered the Ram 1500 with the Hemi. The two I had tried at the time where nice trucks. But once I hopped into the first F150 I tested, an XLT supercab, It was a much better ride, and the seats felt better, to me anyway. I liked the Ram and if I hadn't of been able to order my Lariat with the equipment I wanted it was my next choice. I here that the '13 Rams are much improved. I hope you enjoy her for many years.

Best Wishes with your new truck. My last 1/2 ton was a Dodge. Never left me stranded in 14 years. Only problem I really had was it never passed a gas station. LOL.

I test drove a 2013 Dodge Crew Cab 4x4 before I bought my Ford and yes the power was pretty impressive but I couldn't live with the fuel mileage and I thought that the ride quality wasn't near what the Ford was. It's a good thing they give a 10yr/100k warranty because you will be using it plenty. I plan on putting 50k miles on my F150 and then trading it in for another one.

Poor fuel mileage is a thing of the past with the Ram...I'm already getting 17.5 mpg on my first tank! The 5.7 Hemi uses the MSD system that shuts down 4 cylinders when cruising. Plus it has an 8 speed auto tranny! I'll be honest, I could only get 15 mpg outta my 5.4 Ford.
