Ghost in my truck
My truck dies in dies when shifted into overdrive and then when I left off the throttle to slow down the motor dies on me. Everything else works. People behind me says that all the lights dimmed when it dies but I scanned for codes and nothing came up? Its a 2002 F150 4.6 XLT

What's the status of routine maintenance? e.g. plugs, air filter, fuel filter, EGR valve, cleaning MAF, etc., etc., etc.. And how full do you routinely keep the fuel tank?

Sounds to me like a sticking IAC valve and possibly a weak battery.

Bought her in may for my first truck. Trying to find a job. Air filter is clean looks great, oils good and not low, just changed the fuel filter yesterday. Havent checked the oil filter, and the owner before me says he changed the spark plugs at 100k shes reaching 181k
