Default Getting rid of BEIGE TRIM

Hi guys, I have a 2000 ford expedition that looks like :

I was wondering how I could get rid of that beige trim? I was considering painting it with some sort of duplicolor spray paint.. my rims are not chrome, I duplicolored them flat black, so the trim does not have to be glossy like the car's paint.. but can be flat like the rims.

My question to you guys:
Do you think its smart to paint the trim, will it look bad if the sun is shining on it, and how long will it last (bumpers, running boards, everything..)

Thanks if anyone can spread a little light!

if you dont know what your are doing then do not paint a thing... any if you knew what you were going to do you would not be asking... best advice to you is take it to a local body shop and get them to paint it the color you want, should come with a warranty as long as the body shop is a good one, that way WHEN you scratch some thing or pressure wash the paint off you can fix it... but if you wanted to take on the job your self them you need a paint with a hardener that will seal and protect it... let me know if you have any other problems

Thanks for the help/suggestions. I was pretty pleased how my rims came out, but of coarse those are not part of the body. Id rather do it professionaly if I do it, but does anybody know how much it would run me?
